SDVOSB OUTREACH INITIATIVE
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, invites you to our Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Outreach Initiative Workshop on March 13, 2008 at the Ramada Inn, 6300 Arsenal Street (2100 NY State Re 3), Watertown, NY from 8:30-3:00 pm.
This workshop will provide information on how the Corps does business from beginning to end, including basic contracting principles applicable to doing business with the federal government. The workshop will discuss the steps necessary to become an eligible SDVOSB and in addition will provide an opportunity for SDVOSBs to market their capabilities to large businesses doing business with the Corps.
Information on New York District's military and civil works programs and Buffalo District's civil works program will also be presented.
Representatives from the US Department of Veterans Affairs, Center for Veterans Enterprise and the US Small Business Administration will be available as well to answer questions and provide additional information concerning the SDVOSB program.
Large businesses and small business concerns, including HubZones and SDB's, seeking SDVOSB subcontractors are encouraged to attend!
Interested SDVOSB's are invited to attend as are companies who are not yet officially registered as SDVOSBs, Registration is required for each firm member attending. Registration forms are available on the New York District website: WWW.NAN.USACE.ARMY.MIL. A session is planned for the Newark, NJ area to be held on March 27, 2008. Details to be announced!
