The email's below are in regards to a great program
to help the wounded at Walter Reed
We wanted to share it with all Departments for their consideration &/or participation.
Dear Sirs/Ms –
Would the VFW like to help in our project for our “Wounded Warriors”? Please read all three emails.
Merry Christmas!!!

Dear Henry County Gun club Members (HCGC) -
Apparently our "Wounded Warriors" at Walter Reed Medical Center are running short of zip up hooded sweatshirts.
I have been informed that these "Hoodies", as the troops call them, are available at Penny's and Walmart for about $5.00. While you are out shopping why not pick up a couple and bring them to our Christmas party on Saturday the 6th at the Puryear Community Center @ 6:00pm?
We will start a collection for our Nation's wounded. As a Nation, we owe these young Service members our freedoms that we enjoy every day. Buying a couple of hooded sweatshirts will not break any of us and may help them to recover from their wounds.
We, of HCGC, will spearhead this drive in the community. If you know of an organization that would like to help, please forward this email over to them and ask them to get in touch with me or you can send me the email address or phone number and I will get in contact with them. Hopefully, we can get the various organizations around the area involved.
We will collect them all and ensure they are sent to Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
May God Bless us all this coming year.

HOODIE ALERT!!
The Red Cross office at Walter Reed Army Medical Center is
very low
on hooded sweatshirts
for our Wounded Warriors. Keeping warm -- even in bed -- is a huge issue
for folks whose bodies are adjusting to the
massive changes losing a limb or
suffering a serious wound can bring.
Zip front hoodies are the number-one requested item from the Red
Cross supply room. Please consider donating a new hoodie as a holiday
thank-you to those who gave so much. S, M, L, XL -- just drop them by Room
328!
